Description:An impressive, large smoky quartz crystal from the extensive Swiss collection of Howard Belsky. This sharply terminated, highly lustrous, hexagonal crystal has very rich smoky color. The body is water-clear gem with very nifty, varible stepped-growth prism faces. The striking, mirror-like, termination faces are pockmarked from having embedded chlorite crystals dissolved away and the interior is transparent to translucent, with some crazing. This most excellent smoky is in great shape. The termination is pristine. Very trivial bruising is noted to the prism edges. Contacting, with limited bruising is noted at the base of the crystal. This is a substantial and fine, large smoky with rich color. A Swiss classic. 542 grams or 1.2 pounds. Valued at $1250-1500.
