Description:A juicy, rose-red rhodochrosite rhomb from recent Chinese finds. This translucent and lustrous crystal has fine color and nice form. The two-sided crystal is a tapered, flattened rhomb with lightly to moderately frosted faces.The scattered white calcite rhombs on both sides adds character. Overall the piece is in very good shape, with just a bit of edge wear, but is certainly not a detraction, as you can see. A highly representative example of the species and locale.
