Silver wires with Siderite

Item Description

This very scultpural dense nest of solid curled and curved silver wires looks like a corsage with a stem and is from a recent Chinese find. The striking curved large rope at the top would be about 4.5 cm long, if straightened out. The filagree-like wires have a muted luster, as they are nearly entirely coated with tan siderite microcrystals (analysed to confirm). Silver/siderite combination specimens are quite rare from this locale. A very showy two-sided silver from recent finds - buy while they last!
