Description:A beautiful and superior smoky quartz crystal from the Dennis Mullane Collection. This jauntily angled, water-clear crystal has rich smoky color. The sharp and complex termination faces are very lightly frosted, while the prism faces are gem clear. It looks faceted. The smoky matrix is nicely accented with a cluster of orthoclase variety adularia crystals. This is a striking and aesthetic, 360-degree miniature. Very, very nearly pristine, with only the most trivial of termination edge wear. Classic, highly desirable, older Swiss smoky quartz. Probably from Graubunden (Grischun).
