Description:A striking and very rare combination specimen from an obscure Italian Alps locale. Lustrous and translucent, blue-gray, calcite rhombs dramatically stand out and are aesthetically surrounded by sharp, glassy, brown vesuvianite crystals to 1.0 cm and a very rich field of gemmy, grass-green, augite variety fassaite crystals (low iron content). Found in 1979, this excellent and perhaps unique combination piece is from the collection of Rolf Wein, a noted Alpine specialist.
