Description:The famous Czar Mine at Bisbee produced from 1885 to the early 1900s and 'yielded more fine mineral specimens than any other in the camp' (Mineralogical Record Bisbee issue, September-October, 1981). Scintillating, spherical aggregates of navy-blue azurite microcrystals fill the sculptural, concave gossan matrix crust on this excellent old-timer from the Harold Urish Collection. The crystals glow with desirable electric-blue gemminess under bright light. Valued at $750. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! the sparkle and sheer pizzazz of the piece is hard to capture in photos, as are all such Bisbee specimens.
