Description:Banded velvet malachite is a Bisbee classic and this is an exellent and striking large example. Shimmering, dark green, velvet botryoids are flanked by gorgeous, multi-hued, banded malachite, as are the sides. All of the banded malachite has super chatoyancy, except for the light green bands. A bit of bruising is noted to the botryoids, but is certainly not a detraction. This is a solid crust of dense banded malachite with obvious lapidiary potential. Old-time material from this renowned district. 321 grams.
