Description:A superb miniature of an old classic that fits modern standards of quality - Butte is famous for producing some of the finest enargite crystals on the planet. This superb and aesthetic specimen features a striking cluster of splendent, prismatic, jet-black enargite crystals beautifully accented with a well-placed cluster of brassy, pyrite pyritohedrons. The enargites are up to 1.4 and are dramatically set on a starkly contrasting plate of glassy quartz crystals. You don't see nearly as many Butte enargites on the market anymore, and they will always hold their own on a worldwide scale. An outstanding, older, and rare combination specimen of this classic material collected in 1950s. Ex Josef Vajdak Collection. Valued $600-800.
