Description:Samson Mine calcite is a European classic and this fine, old-time plate holds a real surprise - a 1.0 cm, sharp, partially gemmy, cherry-red pyrargyrite crystal is jauntily set in a cleft on the top to the piece. Lustrous, translucent, light gray, pokerchip calcite crystals to 1.8 cm cover the matrix. The back of the piece hosts two old labels, one in German and the other with a possible 1858 date. Historical and excellent combination material from this famous locale.
