Description:Fluororichterite is a rare amphibole group silicate. The best examples of this rock forming species in the world come from Wilberforce, Ontario and this is a superb specimen. This is a sharp, nearly pristine, doubly terminated, floater crystal with high lustre and brownish-green color. One edge is contacted, but has very little bruising. You almost never see these occur so beautifully crystallized and so the mineral is often dismissed as non-worthy of a fine collection. This is an exception, indeed! Older material. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 652 and acquired in 1973.
