Description:A superb and aesthetic galena specimen from the famous Joplin Field. A pristine, sharp, splendent, battleship-gray, galena cuboctahedron is dramatically perched atop a wedge of chert, like a scepter. The front of the piece is nicely accented with smaller galena crystals and tiny gemmy rubyjack sphalerites are sprinkled on the galena crystals and the chert matrix. This is an outstanding, old-time, 360-degree, textbook galena specimen from the George Feist Collection # 1353. We have offered none better at auction. Valued at $750-900 and worth it.
