Description:A striking and excellent large grossular garnet matrix specimen from this noted locale. The two, isolated textbook dodecahedrons are 2.8 and 2.5 cm. The crystals have high lustre and are moderately translucent. The larger crystal is honey-brown and the smaller is orange-brown. The smaller crystal is pristine and the larger crystal has one bruised corner. Matrix specimens of this large size, with discrete crystals are uncommon and this is a very fine example.
