Description:A classic and fine specimen of lustrous, brassy, sharply formed cockscomb styled marcasite crystals on matrix. Some of the crystals display nice iridescence. Old-time and excellent material from the Kansas portion of the Tri-State District. Ex George Feist Collection # 2006. Fine, robust examples of this classic are hard to come by today, and many have decayed from being stored in high-humidity environs. This one, though, is remarkably intact. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
