Description:A sculptural and unusual specimen of hackly to massive, vein native silver embedded in matrix from a claim in the well-known Cobalt District. Ex Durkos and Robert Hauck Collections. The Hauck label states, that this is float silver, meaning that his piece was found on the surface or in the ground loose on the claim and not in a vein. It has been subject to weathering, which explains its rounded form and oxidized color. Very uncommon material.
