Description:Elmwood Mine sphalerite is some of the finest US examples of the species and this is a showy, highly representative specimen. Splendent, sharp, strikingly partially gemmy, rubyjack crystals are richly and aesthetically set on the starkly contrasting dolomite crystal crust. The large, mirror-bright, large crystal is 2.5 cm. A bit of brusing is noted on the top of the piece, but is out of sight on the primary display view. Excellent and classic, two-sided older material from the Consie Prince Collection.
