Description:Andradite stalactites are rare from ANY locale, let alone a very obscure locality in Mexico! This dramatic large piece is composed solidly of lustrous, larger root beer-brown and smaller olive-green andradite crystals. The crystals reach about 4.0 cm and the larger crystals are partially translucent. Complete all-around and in great shape, with only trivial side wear and a small bit of contacting at the top. Ex Dr. Ed David Collection (collected in 1999) and Dave Stoudt Collection. Valued at $1200, years ago. Striking and rare material. A must for the species or locality collector. Comes with a custom-made baked clay base.
