Description:A rich and rare old-time specimen of danburite coated with chlorite from this obscure Swiss Alps locale that passed through two notable collections (the Bement Collection before 1900 and then to the American Museum in New York) before ending up in the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The showy two-sided rib is solid glassy danburite prisms, that are mostly covered with green chlorite. Classic and rare Swiss combination material valued by Herb at $500, five or more years ago.
