Description:Mineral specimens from this obscure underground mine near Tucson are rarely on the market. The Vekol Mine was discovered in 1879 and produced intermittently until 1965. Highly lustrous, hematite-included (ferroan), rust-red dolomite rhombs cover the sculptural crust of nearly solid dolomite. This is an excellent and showy specimen from this very uncommon Arizona locale. Ex Harold Urish Collection, a 40-year Tucson collector.
