Description:A very large and showy, 8.24 carat, sharp, honey-yellow cubic diamond crystal from Congo (Zaire). The crystal is lustrous, translucent and is nicely frosted or etched. Congo diamond specimens of this size and quality are rare. This large and important diamond was valued at $1648 by another dealer, which I obtained in a large trade. Stones of this size are no longer easily obtained on the mineral market, and the symmetry and color of this piece make it a real specimen of note, not just a "reference piece". We value it fully in the $1500-1800 range, as quite a rational price..
