Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY type from this long extinct mining town near Cenral City are EXTREMELY RARE. This is a unique, blocky, lustrous and translucent rhodochrosite rhomb with classic rose-red color. Pristine in the frontal view, the back looks to be a cleavage. How rare and fine can this be for a Colorado or species collector??? It looks like a Sweet Home or Climax rhodo, but it's not. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
