Description:An excellent and showy, old-time, combination specimen from the Ballard Mine of the Kansas portion of the Tri-State District. Sharp, lustrous, rubyjack sphalerite crystals are aesthetically clustered on the sphalerite chert matrix and are strikingly accented with the enechelon, triangular, golden-brassy, chalcopyrite crystals. The smaller sphalerites in the front are particularly gemmy and glow with beautiful, cherry-red color. The large crowning sphalerite is 3.8 cm. Classic and outstanding material from this historic district from the Harold Urish Collection. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
