Description:Sharp, highly lustrous, reddish brown to chocolate-brown, andradite garnets with striking flashes of golden-amber to reddish-brown gemminess are attractively set in matrix on this showy and excellent old-timer. The dodecahedral crystals are beveled by the trapezohedron and measure up to 3.7 cm. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but this is a very fine representation of this classic California material. Old-time material from the East Coast collection of Clifford Joseph. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
