Description:The famous Elmwood Mine has produced some outstanding combination specimens and this a is very fine large example. A striking mound of intergrown, translucent, rich purple fluorite cubes to 2.2 cm is flanked by and partially overgrown by "balls"of tan, bladed barite. Hidden below is the matrix of rubyjack sphalerite. The fluorite field is pristine. The bit of periphery wear to the barite on one end is certainly a modest detraction. Older material. Classic, sculptural and aesthetic large material from the Consie Prince Collection with multiple fine display views. 4 pounds or 1.8 kilos.
