Description:A dramatic, very large and rare combination specimen from the less well-known El Hammam Mine of Morocco. Brassy, sparkly, microcrystalline pyrite very richly and preferentially coats mostly the top faces of huge, blocky, sculptural, stepped, fluorite cubes. BUT, a sparkly rind of glassy, translucent quartz crystals covers the fluorite and is underneath the pyrite! The translucent fluorite is purple and fluoresces a very ghostly purple through the quartz crystal rind. Very nifty, rare and a most unusual , very large , fluorescent combination specimen. Ex Jonathon Allred Fluorescent Collection. 17.9 pounds or 8.1 kilos.
