Description:Fine combination specimens of axinite and actinolite are occasionally on the market from this well-known Tasmanian locale. A sculptural, two-sided vug is densely filled with glassy, classic clove-brown, flattened axinite prisms. The crystals are up to 1.0 cm. The matrix is composed of strikingly chatoyant radial sprays of grass-green, acicular actinolite crystals in a groundmass of solid axinite crystals. Showy and choice material from the Wes Parker Collection. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
