Description:A stunning, sculptural, fluorite specimen from the recent, very highly touted finds at Riemvasmaak, South Africa. Gemmy and lustrous, unique grass-green fluorite octahedrons are aesthetically clustered on quartz on this super piece. The riveting, complete, vertical octo with the double termination is 3.7 x 2.7 x 2.7 cm. The octo at the crown is 3.9 cm. This dramatic specimen is in great shape, with only periphery wear at the ends noted. All of the many octos are essentially pristine. Very fairly valued at $2000-ish, for dramatic quality and size. Mark my words, these are contemporary classics. The color is INTENSE, deep green, very impressive on this piece! This is about the finest Riemvasmaak fluorite we have offered at auction. Pieces of this quality are normally in the Gallery. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base, for free.
