Description:A very rare collection of 7 placer gold nuggets from Washington State and the Howard Belsky Collection. The flattened, rounded, nubby, nuggets have a rich, mellow-yellow patina and sculptural form. The locality is near the Columbia River in southwestern Washington. Very rare on the market. Howard started as a mineral dealer at age 13 in 1972, became a sophisticated dealer and died tragically at age 28 in 1987. His collection recently became available to us through his family. Total weight is 6.4 carats or 1.2 grams. The current gold price is nearly $1221/ounce or over $39/gram. Bullion value is over $40. Specimen value is much more for this rarity.
