Description:A striking large crystal from a NEW FIND in the Fall of 2009 from Kenya. The termination is quite glassy and the faces are razor-sharp. Very interesting, doubly terminated sidecar crystals are attached to the side. The amethystine color ranges from pretty, intense purple to nearly colorless. One area is smoky. The termination is pristine. A bit of edgewear is noted on the termination faces. Contacting on the back is out of sight and the contacting low on the front is a modest detraction. These are impressive, pretty and large crystals from Africa! Not Bolivia, Brazil or Uruguay. 3.3 pounds or 1.5 kilos
