Description:Sparkling, gemmy and lustrous, rich emerald-green, dioptase crystals to 5 mm richly cover the vuggy, mounded matrix on this excellent, highly representative specimen from the famed and now-closed Tsumeb Mine. The lining of white calcite is a fine accent and the piece displays well from two sides. A bit of periphery wear on the edges of the vug are noted, but is only a modest detraction. This would be a $3500-4500 specimen, if perfect. Still, it is valued at $1000-1250 for size, richness and quality of crystallization. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
