Description:A beautiful, sharp, gemmy and lustrous, classic, intense, pigeon's-blood red, ruby crystal is jauntily set in starkly contrasting marble matrix on this excellent thumbnail from Mogok. The contacted side of the ruby is mostly out of sight and is only a minimal detraction to this unusually well-crystallized ruby from this noted locale. Not too much material has come from Burma lately, with the US trade embargo in effect.
