Description:Splendent, well-striated, fat, gemmy and lustrous, deep wine-red rutile crystals to 2.1 cm are very sculpturally scattered on the platy hematite matrix on this striking, very showy specimen from Diamantina, Brazil. The rutile crystal pattern looks just like the classic Widmanstatten patterns found on iron meteorites! Very nifty and artistic. Ex Wes Parker Collection.
