Description:A striking nest of curved and curled silve wires is aesthetically set atop a wedge of matrix on this very fine specimen from recent Chinese finds. The beautifully burnished wires definitely have an insect-like look and the scattered acanthite and quartz crystals are a nice accent. This piece bears strong resemblance to classic Kongsberg wire silvers and would be much more expensive, if from there. Valued at $300-400.
