Description:A old-time, rare and sculptural specimen from Missouri. This artistic, knobby piece of very sparkly, finely crystalline quartz, aesthetically accented with rust-red limonite, is actually a HOLLOW quartz stalactite! It is complete all-around and pristine. The Old Mines area of Washington County were surface deposits mined for barite, galena, iron and zinc well before the discovery by core drilling of the well-known Viburnum Trend in the 1960s. Ex George Feist Collection # 2503. George accumulated a very large and significant Missouri, Tri-State and Viburnum Trend collection.
