Description:A dramatic, very attractive, "rabbit-ears" calcite specimen from recent finds at Santa Eulalia, Mexico. Sharp, lustrous, and transparent to translucent, dogtooth calcite crystals are partially coated with hematite and have striking, clay-stained, internal, hematite phantoms. Crystals reach 6.1 cm on this piece. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, the lightly cleaved tips of the "ears" are a very modest detraction. An aesthetic specimen from this find.
