Description:A stunningly attractive pair of sharp, glassy amethyst crystals from the increasingly important Orange River area of Namibia. The high lustre crystals are deep purple and have this striking, preferential, brick-red, hematite tinting. The mottled appearance is dramatic. The smaller stepped-growth crystals on one side and one end are very nifty and add a lot of character. The two crystals are complete all-around and are very nearly pristine, with only super-trivial, barely noticeable edgewear and termination wear. The periphery wear at the base is noted and is a modest detraction. Outstanding, very showy material with excellent color from the Orange River.
