Description:A striking, large, colemanite crystal is aesthetically perched atop a pedestal of smaller crystals on this outstanding old-timer from the famous Thompson Mine, Death Valley, California. The large crystal is 6.5 cm across on the diagonal. The sharp presentation faces are super-glassy and very light-amber colored. Some of the faces have showy, very pronounced stepped growth. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, this is a good specimen for the collector of fancier species wh omight find most colemanites not so sexy. Ex Cal Tech Collection. valued $250
