Description:A unique, old-time North Carolina quartz crystal from the Richard Hauck Quartz Collection. A glassy, euhedral, terminated quartz crystal is totally covered on the front and most of the sides with amazing, scale-like, second generation, parallel-growth quartz crystals. Many of the smaller crystals are doubly terminated, adding even more character. The termination of the large quartz is complete all-around and pristine, with only very trivial edgewear on the out of sight back. Contacting on the back is totally out of sight. Comes with an old label from the C.H. Hansen Collection. I would say, that this piece is around 100 years old. An extremely rare varietal from Alexander County.
