Description:A significant and very attractive, old-time wavellite specimen from this important Type Locality for the species. This one features particularly symmetric radial aggregates and gemmy, glassy, iron oxide-coated spherules of wavellite, perched on a well-trimmed matrix. The color is intense for the locality - the few others I have seen have always been somewhat more pale in hue and lustre. Wavellite was discovered here in 1805 and the French collection label is probably around 100 years old or older. valued $200
