Spinel

When it comes to Spinel, there has been a steady stream of material coming out of Myanmar (Burma) for over 20 years. This stone is a classic Spinel and exhibits a pink color with slight overtones of orange or purple depending upon the light under which it's viewed. It is a nice, very slightly included "Roval" cut gemstone. It is difficult to find superb quality Spinels because of political upheaval in southeast Asia. It appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Ruby Spinels may be dwindling.
