Sapphires come in virtually every color of the rainbow, but the most famous and easily recognizable color is the top blues from various localities in the world. This stone has very deep, inky blue color and needs a bit of backlighting for the hue to show through. The gem is only very very slightly included with a standard "Step Oval" cut. Blue Sapphires are steadily going up in price around the globe, and stones with rich color are some of the most recognizable gems on the market.
