Hematite included Amethyst (Sanabria Coll.)

Item Description

A highly unusual and attractive two-sided amethyst small cabinet from this well-known granite and fluorite quarry. The top is covered with striking, sharply terminated, glassy, water-clear amethyst crystals with pretty blush purple color. Scattered preferential specks of brick-red hematite add pizzazz and color contrast. The two large crystals are up to 4.5 cm long. The top is nearly pristine, with only a couple of tiny wilbers, which are certainly only a modest detraction. The sharp smaller amethyst crystals on the bottom are totally different, as they have preferential overgrowth of drusy quartz. Choice and unusual two-sided amethyst from the Raul Sanabria Collection.
