Large Stilbite

Item Description

A dramatically sculptural large two-sided stilbite specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. The tightly intergrown pearlescent, translucent crystals have beautiful and classic salmon-pink color. The crystals reach 4.9 cm. Smaller stilbites and gray chalcedony stalactites add color and contrast. The piece has a biomorphic look to it. It resembles a galloping large pink animal with an uplifted head and tail. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. The hard-to-see attachments are at one end and along the chalcedony on one side. Jalgaon continually amazes with the outstanding quality of Zeolite Group species. Valued at $800-1000.
