Item Description

Some of the most classic Chyrsoberyl specimens in the world are those from Espirito Santo in the southeastern end of Brazil. These specimens exhibit one of the most recognized and celebrated twinning habits - called "sixling" or "trillings" - for Chrysoberyl. This piece has the classic color, twinning and form with excellent gemminess and a combination of yellow-green and brown hues. It's not a complete twin all the way around, but still shows the recognized form. A great old Brazilian classic. From the collection of Colorado geologist, Allen Heyl, the namesake for the phosphate Aheylite, a member of the Turquoise Group.
