Item Description

Here is one of the more interesting finds from around 2005 in Bolivia. Typically, Bolivian Pyrite is not found in attractive, displayable, well-crystallized specimens. This however is one of the better specimens I've offered of this material in the action. The specimen almost completely undamaged all the way around (save the bottom edge where it was removed from the pocket) and is loaded with octahedra modified by trapezohedra which is a rather uncommon crystal habit for this rather common sulfide. The largest crystal measures 8 mm across. All of the Pyrite crystals have very good luster and fine sharp faces.
