Large Schorl Tourmaline (Paul Zerfass Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive, sculptural and uncommonly large schorl specimen from the Erongos. The dramatically intergrown lustrous to matte-finish striated prisms are mostly jet-black with strong hints of enhancing olive-green clearly visible under bright light. The well-placed large prism is 5.3 cm. Preferential etching of both the prism and termination faces and bit of starkly contrasting white feldspar adds pizzazz to this architectural and pristine 360-degree specimen from the Paul Zerfass Collection # 543. Valued at $1250-1500 and worth it.
