A classic, seldom seen and hard to get doubly terminated hydrothermal quartz crystal from this well-known limestone quarry. Once highly sought-after, this shapely "Suttrop quartz" crystal is sharp, lustrous and translucent. Complete all-around. One tip is lightly dinged and the out-of-sight contact on the base, where another crystal once lay, has no damage, per se. Undoubtedly old-time material and comes with a 1950s-60s era styrofoam display base. Excellent and highly representative quartz from this famous locale.
