Fluorapatite on Albite

Item Description

Sharp, pink, hexagonal, tabular crystals of fluorapatite up to 1.6 cm are intergrown on a small amount of white Albite matrix to form a beautiful thumbnail specimen. Very showy and three-dimensional for the material. The piece displays nicely as you can see from the photos and there is virtually no damage (a few of the crystals show slight skeletal growth, with "indentations", but not damage). A classic pink Apatite from Pakistan. Hard to photograph and better in person.
