Item Description

The various ore bodies in Peru have produced some of the finest crystallized examples of various common sulfides in the world. These specimens were all the rage a few decades ago, and should still be appreciated by collectors despite their drop in in popularity. This attractive display specimen features fine, sharp, well-formed, silvery-grey colored tetrahedra of Tetrahedrite measuring up to 1.7 cm associated with prismatic gemmy colorlesss Quartz along with minor Sphalerite and Pyrite on the base. The piece has just a small amount damage, and looks better in person, so don't pass this one up if you collect sulfides or association pieces.
