Item Description

This mine has produced what are clearly some of the finest quality Vivianite specimens ever seen. This near cabinet size piece features a predominant sharp, lustrous, deep emerald green, sword shaped crystal of Vivianite sitting aesthetically on metamorphosed sandstone. The Vivianite crystal measures 5.1 cm. Despite a bit of sandstone on the termination, the crystal is in great shape. The luster is really impressive for Bolivia and the species in general. These are some of the best quality Vivianite crystals you will see from any locality, hands down. Keep in mind that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems. The main crystal on this piece is in great shape compared to many I have seen. I have never seen specimens of this quality, color, luster and gemminess before, not only from Bolivia, but virtually any world locality.
