Amethyst (reverse scepters) with Calcite* (*Calcite is rare from Bolivia)

Item Description

This specimen is a great small cabinet size piece consisting of fine quality, sharp, gemmy, lustrous, prismatic, purple color "reverse" scepter habit crystals of Amethyst measuring up to 1.3 cm associated with white/colorless, modified rhombohedra of Calcite with underlain green "Chlorite" on matrix. This piece is remarkable for Bolivia as it features a type of crystallization that is virtually unheard of from this country, AND the fact that such a common species like Calcite is virtually unheard of from Bolivia. Bombori has certainly produced the best Calcites from Bolivia extant. This is one of the better pieces in this size range for quality, aesthetics and overall appeal that I've offered recently.
